jbacon83Has anyone tried both Coreg CR and Metoprolol ER and found either one is better than the other in controlling hypertension and tachycardia? My doctor had me on 50mg daily. I was experiencing fatigue mostly on the metoprolol when i took it during the day. Not sure if its because of the interaction with the other meds I take in the morning like Vyvanse and Klonopin. He is going to have me try Coreg so i can take it during the day and see if it controls my symptoms with less fatigue or maybe its also had something to do with me taking CNS depressants at the same time of the day as a stimulant for my ADHD. Any advise on success stories with one over the other or when the best time is to take the Beta Blockers?

I was taking Metopropolol 100mg SR caps each night till my doc. recommended it also in the morning, now I take 2 caps each day along with other meds connected after angioplasty, I did not have the fatigue, I guess each drug with its side effects perhaps interact differently to each individual. Perhaps the best is to check it with your doc./pharmacist who prescribed the drug as he or she knows about your med history better, hope this helps? Best of luck.
