Has anyone taken Valtrex for epstein barr virus, how did you find it?

I have been taking Valtrex 500mg for CFS for several months now. Yes you may feel worse for a while but some things will also begin to feel better right away. My only complaint was that I wanted to sleep day and night and It made my gut painful. Also had some pretty severe dizziness the first few weeks. I am happy that I took it. It is not a cure but there has definitely been improvement. No two people will react exactly the same but this may give you some idea of what can happen. You are lucky to have a doctor who is willing to try to treat the virus rather than the symptoms.

I found it only mildly helpful however for non stimulant/amphetamine treatment nuvigil a refined version of provigil has helped me though I have many disorders leading to fatigue I later underwent a sleep test which I highly recommend. It revieled restless leg syndrome and alpha intrusion. Although treatment for rls was only available the medication of low dose requip helped with muscle soreness sleep and natural energy.
