Started having AF in 2006. Had ablation and it would come back months at a time. I had 6 cardioversions since n would get relief then it would come back. I'm on amiodarone and obviously doesn't work with me. I heard about flecainide recently and going to talk to my DR. I had congestive heart failure in 2006 so I don't know if I can take it. Any help??
Has anyone taken Amiodarone for AF before going on flecainide. I'm on Amioarone n looking to switch?

The important question is what quality of life do you want to live? I have had Arrhythmia problems since 1993 never did have a reduced quality of life until I had Pacemaker installed in 2006 and started Amiodarone, in ten days I had lung damage and still do, at times I wish I could just die. I find it is far more important to control the rate then it is rhythm Verapamil ER and Metoprolol Tartrate have been doing the job for me.
