I am in the process of slowly reducing Paxil and I'm down to 5mg a day from 20mg. Began taking Celexa 10 days ago as I'm coming off the Paxil.
I have tried to come off Paxil before unsuccessfully because of anxiety and anger. This time, seems to be working, but we'll see. I'd like to know if anyone has done this, i.e. change from Paxil to Celexa and what side effects were experienced while in transition. Also, did Celexa work?

I hope I can help u here. I was on paxil a few yrs ago. It did not work for me. They switched me to zoloft and it was better but still not good enough. My dr started me on celexa six months ago and it works wonders for me as far as controlling anger and meltdowns. Like my doc said my no med will make my probs go away but help me handle them better, which is exactly what celexa did for me. I hope it does work for u as well as it did me but everybody handles different meds differently. Good luck and keep me informed.
