I am experiencing increasing pain in my right arm some when I move my arm. I had the procedure in my neck on the right side to reduce the pain from my neck down my arm to my right hand from an auto accident. Its been all most a month since the procedure. Im on oxycodone 10/325 soma 350 2x a day and gabapentin for peripheral neurapathy and it still hurts a lot with the meds I was told by one person here that the procedure helped them. That was the only input I've had here. Please let me know. I will not have the next procedure if this is what I can expect.

hi there bagnoh. I'm trying to answer via mobile phone, hope it posts. I have had at least 5 RFT's over the past few years. The problem area is L4 thru L6. The last one I had was about 4 months prior to my accident in which I shattered L1 and fractured L2. The cervial area is a whole different ball game then the low spine. The medicine he used on me the last RFT was different than past meds they used. He also injected in another part of the spine. I think it was the area closer to the nerve root. I could tell the difference almost immediately that he had hit the 'sweet spot' unlike past RFT's. It hurt so good cause I knew he had the EXACT area needed for the meds to work in addition to using a different numbimg agent. I'm sorry you aren't having much luck with yours. The cervical is much trickier. I could call him and ask the specific name of the meds used. My hubbys the one with cervical issues. Long story short.
He is now 4 months post op from his 3rd cervical surgery. Car accident, fractured neck, etc. This last surgery they used a donor tibia bone, hollowed out and filled with a powdered bone substance. Removed all the old hardware, fused from C2 thru C7. He has never felt better! No more pressure, headaches, shooting pains, and doesn't need any meds stronger than an occasional excedrin. Since you haven't gotten relief, ask your doc for better pain meds. You aren't on any extended release? You can message me if you need me to call my guy and see exactly the meds he used at my last RFT. I hope you can find some relief soon! I know how bad it can get. Be strong. chris
