... drug for many years and each time the drug store has used a different manufacturer the drug has not worked well on her. They have had to order from the previous manufacturer. Now that manufacturer is not making the drug any longer and the new pill is not controlling her blood pressure. Any Help?
Has anyone had problems with different manufacturers of Atenolol? My mother-in-law has taken this?

Sounds like you might be going to a ma and pa pharmacy. They do this to cut corners on prices.Money is tight.
Now for why one works better than another. Is that the compounding ingerdients (aka, inert ingredients) disolve in the system at different rates. So she is getting more or less active ingredients in a different time frame.
Call another large pharmacy and see who makes their Tenormin.(aka Atenolol)
