My 8 yr old with high functioning autism and OCD has started developing breasts and has gained weight. I am extremely concerned and not sure if the Guanficine (insurance wont pay for Tenex or Intuniv) is working much, although she is less hyper and sensory seeking overall.
Has anyone experienced the triggering of puberty? And weight gain?

Hello pjammaparty. I did some research and if your question is that Guanficine causing the two symptons, as a layman,(not a doctor) I might say say yes. But theres nothing that I've found to beable to confirm that. There are Patient Assistance Programs available, even for people that carry insurance. You might try that route.
