I was taken off Prempro because I had taken it for 5 years and I began to experience depression because I was not on HRT. Now, I see that a side-effect of Prempro can be depression. I do not know whether to take the medication or not.

Hey Jenny,
If you need the hormone replacement therapy to control the symptoms of menopause such as depression, then I would take it. Mental or mood changes are possible, but that is not common and if you tolerated it before, you probably will again.
Just my thought, I hope I haven't misunderstood you,
Laurie
