Has anyone ever tried using a half-dose of enbrel?

It would be worth talking to your doctor about using enbrel in smaller doses twice weekly instead of a higher dose once a week.
There is a good chance the unpleasant side effects you are experiencing may be less severe.

i will tell you what my doctor told me because i get severe nose bleeds. i take a shot of enbrel every other week. after a couple of dose adjustments, this has taen care of my nose bleeds. but it will take a couple of weeks doing this before you notice a dfference. good luck

I'm not sure about the half dose, but I was switched from the 50m once a week, prefilled pens, to the 25m prefilled syringes twice weekly doses. That has helped with some of the side effects, but she has mentioned just recently about changing me to the type where I draw the Enbrel out myself - apparently, this type has less side effects - you may ask your doctor about that.

I take Enbrel twice a week at 25 ml. Since it weakens your immune system, you have to stop it when you get an infection. I have used a saline spray twice daily in my nostrils for twenty years, initially when I was on methotrexate. I now take Enbrel with MTX. I've not had any problems with my sinuses since.

If you get open sores in your nose, put some bacitracin on them. I've also had canker (sp) sores in my mouth. I tried Ambesol and other OTC "stuff" for those sores.
