I have not used Fosteum myself but you could try our forum to search for others who have http://www.drugs.com/forum/
This also from http://www.fosteum.com/
"... In clinical trials, Fosteum demonstrated a significant reduction in hot
flashes over time. At 12 months, the frequency of hot flashes was
reduced by 57% and the severity of hot flashes was reduced by 38%.
In the same clinical trial, the group of women who experienced at
least 5 hot flashes per day, 74% of them experienced improvement
in the Fosteum group versus 0% in the group taking calcium plus
vitamin D alone."
Hope this helps.

After suffering for almost 5 years w/severe hot flashes and occasional nite sweats I am now on Fosteum!!It has helped soooo much, cannot believe the difference!!! I can't take hormones due to a clotting disorder and this has really turned my life around!I would have as many as 10 to 12 flashes a day, lasting several minutes, sweating, heart racing, awful, awful!!I had 2 very mild ones today but I am under alot of stress this week due to sickness in staff!!! If you are thinking about it,I would say YES!!! You know it helps bone health also!
