navygirl1the doctors are conducting a science experiment. i don't want to be switched from med to med and become worse. i went to doctor to become better but i just feel like im going downhill. and they are playing games and conducting research at my expense. the thing that is bad about depression is there isn't a cure all. one thing you can take!!! there are too many options
Has anyone experienced side effects on effexor xr 75mg?? Sometimes I feel like a guinea pig!

Hello navygirl1. I was on effexor, about 11 years ago. It was the one medication that not long after I started it, had exreme side effects on. My docor and I agreed to give it a fair chance, but I ended up stopping. Its as you know, trial and error. Don't know how long you've been on it, you'll just have to be your own judge and tell your doctor what you think might be best/right for you. best wishes to you.

I know you feel like a guinea pig right now, but that is the nature of the beast, unfortunately!!
You just need to keep trying until you find what works for you. It may take several meds, and several weeks to see what works, and what doesn't work.
There are as many different kinds of depression as there are medications for it, and no cure-all, sadly.
Keep your chin up and don't lose hope!!
