Hello carolvardell. It might be. Haldol is an older drug, and has a high rate of success. Often, patients stop using it because thier system has built up an intloerance to the drug. If the drug is working, and the person is also pleased, doing well, yes, that might be taken for years to come, unless another drug were to come along and take its place.
