I'm taking trinessa birth control, and I'm on my first pack, second week and I'm not sure what I do with the green pills.

They are known as "reminder" pills and I recommend that they be taken especially if you are new to the Pill. (If you are only on your second week it should not be time for them yet. You need to finish all the Pills in the outer circle first-the white and blue ones then the last week is the week for the green ones) Suzanne is correct (as always!) that they contain inert ingredients or what is otherwise called a "sugar pill". When you first start the Pill, it is of utmost importance to get into the habit of taking a Pill every day. This is why I recommend that you take them. It will also help you to remember when it is time to start the next pack. If you truly are adverse to taking them, at least pop it out of the pack and flush it, or rinse it down the sink, at the time you would normally take your pill. If you miss one, it is no worry and you dont have to make it up but be sure that you keep careful count of when you are supposed to start your new pack.
If you dont start on time it is the same as missing a Pill and will affect your protection. Once you have taken all of the white and blue tabs you will be protected against pregnancy even during the week of inert pills. You should start your period some time that week of the green pills. It might be the first day but more likely it will be the second, third or fourth day. Did that answer all your questions? If not, shoot me a comment back with your question!
