For asthma treatment in adults and adolescents the recommended Flovent dosage varies, depending upon what type of asthma medications were previously taken - you should consult your doctor if you are unsure.
For people taking bronchodilators alone, such as albuterol the starting dose is two inhalations of Flovent HFA 44 mcg twice daily. The maximum amount in these situations is Flovent HFA 220 mcg twice daily.
For people who are taking an inhaled steroid (with or without a bronchodilator), the starting dosage is two inhalations of Flovent HFA 44 mcg or 110 mcg twice daily. The maximum dose is two inhalations of Flovent HFA 220 mcg twice daily.
