I havent been abroad, but I have flown within the US and I take OxyContin/oxycodone and have never had a problem. I brought my meds not only in my weekly dispenser but also brought the labeled bottles from the pharmacy in case I had trouble but never had a word said about it. If you go onto your airline website and also the TSA website there is information on this kind of thing.

The PC Doc,
I concur with DZoo... as long as you have your prescription bottle you should be okay. Just make sure you have current bottles and keep them all in their original bottle. If you are like me and have to take several meds, I put them in one bottle for convenience if I am going out of town for a few days. But, I keep them all in their original bottles when I fly.
have a great trip!

Dzoo is right. The actually give you a list to print out of all or any things you may take on a flight... mary632009
My son takes a ton of restricted meds. When he flies, he takes his medicine in the bottles, a list of hiis meds from the pharmacy, and a letter from the VA, with a contact number. When I go with meds, and extra meds, I do the same thing, letter from my doctor. The one thing you don't want to do is run out of meds. It's generally easier to get meds overseas, but bring them back and having enough until you can visit your Dr. or get a refill. For what it's worth, it's difficult to get non-emergency care, etc. in Hawaii. My daughter's son got sick. It took 2 days to find a doctor that wasn't restricted by a health plan. Because my grandson wasn't a surf accident, etc. they couldn't even get in an ER ot Urgent care that way. Bon tiemps-enjoy yourself
