From my understanding ... even if your fasting blood glucose is low you still take your tablet. Have breakfast and then take the Glucotrol XL. If your fasting blood glucose is very close to hypoglycemia then take a few jelly beans ... lollies, whichever one you would normally use for hypoglycemia, then eat your normal breakfast and take Glucotrol with breakfast.
Never miss your dose though. Please see your doctor if you need things clarified.
