I am presently taking 28 units of Lantus solar star, long acting in the evening after supper. I am also taking oral medication, 1000mg Glucophage after supper and 1mg Amaryl before breakfast. Is it necessary to take the oral medication as i would like to stop this medication and if need be, increase the Lantus dosage. I did read that Amaryl should not be taken if using Isulin. I need some sound advise as my Doctor is not helping.
Thanks,

I know your doctor is not helping so perhaps get another doctor, as only your doctor can make these decisions. Your history and present blood sugar readings will need to be taken into account before your doctor can make any changes. YouYour blood sugar levels will also need to be monitored while the changes are done.
