Glucophage - Is there a big differance between Metformin hcl & Metformin er? would it be harmful if?

Which one are you taking at the moment? The normal metformin hydrochloride or Metformin ER?

The doses and frequency of dosing will differ for plain metformin and Metformin ER. So please take the one which is prescribed for you.
