From what I found it is 100mg-300mg up to 3 times a day. Adverse effects include dizziness, headache, insomnia, restlessness, nervousness, hypertension (high blood pressure), diarrhea, vomiting, estrogen-like effects like vaginal bleeding and breast tenderness. It can interact with prescription drugs like anticoagulents, and antiplatelet drugs, drugs for diabetes and insulin, CNS stimulants, and corticosteroids, estrogen, furosemide, ibuprofen, and caffeine and shouldnt be used if you take any of these drugs. It is not recommended for use for longer than 3 months. Be sure to use a standardized product because otherwise active ingredients can vary widely. Standardized products are guarenteed to contain a specific amount of active ingredient. It is always best to consult your healthcare provider before starting any herbal products.
