... hasn't worked yet and I took it at 7:30 am. It is now almost 1:30pm. I feel like I'm held hostage until this stuff works. Don't want to be away from home when it does. If you know what I mean. Any answers for me... please?

I don't know why it works some days and not others.
Have you talked about this with your doctor?
Maybe on days when you need to leave the house and your Generlac hasn't worked your doctor could suggest something that works quickly (such as a suppository).
