I heard that back in the late 1980's, a generic equivalent was developed, but did not work. So, it was cancelled, and no other generic for Premarin ever came out. Why? What is the problem? Why didn't the original generic work? Premarin is very, very expensive, and many women who cold benefit from it can not afford it. Has no other effort been made to find a generic equivalent?
