I just heard from my surgeon today. Seems there are 25 people that are waiting for a pacemaker, and altho my severe case has me at the top of the list, I must now wait until Nov 1 to 15 before the 1st one will be here. The pain is getting worse, the meds arent working to curb the pain and I am at my wits end. I just dont know how much more I can take. This means another 30 days I can go before I can get any help. I feel so low right now... I just cant explain it any more.
Gastroparesis - Now there is an even longer delay on my pacemaker, how much more can I take?

Hi Tee. Darn it. I don't have an answer for you. Wish I did. Thats the hard part of cyberspace, the site, its not that we as a group, can get together, in the actual physical being, sit around, share, actually beable to give a huig, pats on shoulders, see how we are, drink and spend say a day, the bunch of us, talking in small groups, about this that and the other. FGor now all I can do is as von said give you hug ((((((((((Tee))))))))))) good thoughts and strength for you. and no need to explain. Oh Tee,
I am so sorry!! This has been dragging on forever it seems.
If you bug the bejaysus out of your surgeon could that speed things up? Or would that just annoy him/her?
Is there anything that can be done to speed the process up at all? How about going to the Mayo clinic? Have you called, or has your surgeon called there? Try that? Just don't give up on us!!!

Folks you all have been so great to me. I just feel so blue right now. I keep waiting and waiting, and the pain keeps growing and growing. AT least I have my DC family to turn to. My dad/stepmom are not available, just you all right now. I try to fight my DC family battles for I hate to see anyone put down like that. As long as I am able, I will fight for everyone of you til there is no fight left in me. I hate this mess going on, it s*xs and I will not stand by and let someone trash my family. As you can see, A., that includes you as well. lm kinda hurting right now, so Im gonna rest. I wont be too far away, and Vonnie, you know how to reach me quickly if something goes down. You can give Puckie and Pledge the way to reach me as well. I trust your judgement on that if they want to reach me. I love you all.

We are here for you, Sweetie!! I am so sorry and I know this is extremely frustrating and more so!
Please try to not let this stress you as it can cause even more pain. I know, I do really know that it is easier said than done, but I do so wish you could try not to worry. Put on a funny movie, help others here... let us hug you and hold you and carry you until November. Can you?

hi tee6759 why are they making you wait so ling for your pacemaker??? I know my step-mom has had two put in thru the years and got right in. Why are they making you go thru ll this unneccesary pain. Please hang in there and when i get really down now i start singing to myself Smile Thou Your Heart is Breaking. It's a really old song and i don't know how old you are but at least it takes my mind off things when i hurt really bad. your friend Leron

Dear Leron,
You are such a doll. This is a diff kind of pacemaker, not for the heart but for my stomach. It is a very unique n special set of circumstances. They are not made as rapidly as the heart pacemakers. I am bring referred to a pain mgmt spec ASAP. I can only hold the hands of my loving DC family and draw from your love and support. I love you all!

Im really glad they are sending you there, something has to be done. Because you can't keep going like this til they get the pacemaker. Nic said you finally got some sleep, I bet it wasn't much. Bless you dear. Will ck on you tomorrow. Vonnie

MAYO CLINIC!!
And please, don't lose hope!! Tis the best of things. I know how depressed you are over this situation, but ya can't lose hope!!
Please, ask your doc for more pain meds, just to see you through until your pacemaker is ready, or would pain meds mess up your tummy even more?

I'm so sorry that you have to go through all of this, and it sucks that you have to wait so long. I have a very big roundtable and room full of rocking chairs, and coffee, drinks, bagels, muffins , etc, but at my end, in front of my chair, a big box of tissues for all the tears of love I am feeling right now from my DC family. All of you please join me? The door is open all day long
