There are no known restrictions of any sort of food while you are taking ranitidine. The abdominal discomfort is probably due to symptoms of GERD. If it continues please see your doctor, it may be because your symptoms aren't properly controlled with the medicine, or it could also be side effects of ranitidine.
Your doctor may think of increasing the dose of ranitidine or putting your on something else.
