I can't understand why I had my gallbladder removed, in 2006, what are the reasons to get it removed? The doctor told me I wasn't digesting my food correctly? I'd like to have somebody explain this to me.

The gallbladder stores bile that the liver makes, it then releases it into the stomach for digestion. It could have been blocked with stones or with a tightening of the duct, and not releasing it into the stomach. While that seems like a strange explanation to a patient, without further explanation, its probably correct.

What I was experiencing was bloating, pressure in my stomach, cramps, sounds as if I was hundry (wrong spelling). I was later diagnosed with Acid Reflux... I'm allegic to onions. I guess all of this is connected to my gallbladder? I was taking Nexium for a number of years until Medicaid stopped carrying it I have heard that Nexium is real expensive so I'm currently on Prilosec DR 40 mg. I hope it works. I'm desparte for relief.
