It shouldn't affect you at all, the inactive pills are there to keep you in the habit of taking your pills everyday. Some women skip them and start a new pack to avoid their cycle and I think that is ok sometimes, but, I wouldn't make a habit of it. There are other forms of birthcontrol that will stop your period, but, they can cause alot of weight gain.
