hello cyndy, i broke my jaw in 89 in 2 places and had surgery, the dr who did my surgery placed my bite wrong, so as the years went by my jaw got crooked causing the worst tmj. painfull headaches and just not being able to live a normal life. the only thing that will help is surger which is considered cosmetic so my insurance wont cover so low and behold for the rest of my life i have to take pain medication, which im trying to taper off of, or live painfully. so really what choice do i have, not much. well i hope you get better, keep comming back and read up and educate on and ask lots of questions here, were family and want to help
