Fluid Retention - tummy is full of fluid - gained 4,5 kg after furosemide, why and what to do?

It is obvious you need furosemide to reduce the fluid load. There could be many reasons why you would be retaining fluid ... please see your doctor and they will need to investigate (if diagnosis hasn't already been made).

I agree with Marvells answer. I lost 25 pounds of fluid in less than a month on furosemide! Including my tummy. You really need to check with your doctor on this. Never know what could be going on...

Hi, i agree with the ladies, you should report this to your doctor. My father had a large fluid retention and he let it build up and up & finally had to be admitted to the hospital to have it drained. I'm not trying to scare you, just want to say it's better to do something about it sooner rather than later. It certainly does sound like you need more treatment with a diuretic?

You need to see your doc asap. If your abdomen is full of fluid it may not be from fluid retention like in your ankles, but caused my problems in your abdomen.
