Fibromyalgia - I have been taking Amrix 15 mg daily for the last 6 months and it has really helped?

The med you are speaking of is cyclobenzaprine,commonly called Flexeril. I assume Amrix is just nother name for it. It is a muscle relaxer, & also comes in an extended release form. Without knowing your entire health history it is hard to know why your doctor would suddenly stop giving you this med especially since it works for you. The one thing that caught my eye reading about it on Drugs A to Z is if you have any type of heart problem especailly a irregular heatbeat, or are hypotensive, you should not take this medicine. Maybe you doctor has noticed that your blood pressure has dropped too much. I really cannot make a guess. It would be wise for you to speak with your doctor directly about why he /she suddenly stopped something that obviously helped your pain from fibromyalgia. I am sure they had their reason. I have occasionally taken one of my husbands when I get muscle tension headache from fibromyalgia, but will not again since I do have an irregular heartbeat. Kind of scared me. But please check with your doctor for this answer, & best of luck to you...
