Hello and welcome to the site. I have diabetes connected to the medications I take for the past seven years.
First, it is very important to be treated for diabetes. Neuropathy, blindness and death occur for untreated disease. This is a serious disease and cannot be ignored.
Neuropathy increases without treatment of diabetes. There is no cure for this and it progresses to a very painful condition. You are prone to infections of the feet as the feet become more numb that do not heal easily. This can lead to amputations.
Second, uncontrolled blood sugars cause coma and death. It can come on suddenly without a chance of getting help. Wearing an ID bracelet is important for fast treatment. This is controlled by meter readings four times daily. A good doctor will find out how your diabetes is progressing. There are pills or insulin to take.
There is a lot more to learn and I suggest you go to the American Diabetes web site.

Diabetic neuropathy is a complication of diabetes. One of the objectives of taking diabetic medication is to reduce the complications.
If you had taken your diabetic medication you may not have developed neuropathy.
Now that you have symptoms of neuropathy you should take your diabetic medicines to prevent the neuropathy getting any worse and to prevent other complications. You may also need to take other medicines for your neuropathy depending on your symptoms.
You should see your doctor and follow his/her advice. As the previous poster suggested it is in your best interest to learn as much as you can about diabetes. All the best.
Sir

Hello. Amputation means having a toe or foot or other part of body removed because it becomes very infected. They cut off the bad part to save someone's life. Diabetes makes blood stop in feet and hands. This becomes too sick to heal and is removed. Very serious.
Sir
Feel very much properly guided.
Thanks again.
