The problem with Excedrin was there were small particle of opiads getting into them & they pulled all the lots that wwee suspected. They should be avilable now. If not try a Dollar General or similar store WalMart sells Equate which is their own brand name, & so does Dollar General. I have been able to find them there, & regular Excedrin at the other stores here. The generics work the same as long as it says "compared to Excedrin". The Excedrin headache is pain ole' Excedrin anyway, just a fancier name to get you to spend more money. Check the ingredients on the label. 500mg of aspirin, 500mg of acetophetamin(tylenol) & 60mg of caffeine... Mary

Sometime at the end of 2011 there was a recall of many drugs, including Excedrin Migraine. Apparently there was an error at the production factory and there is no assurance that the right pills made it into the right bottle. I too was surprised that this had not been resolved yet when I reached the end of my bottle. I was advised to get the generic and thought this is not good. True migraine sufferers are so devoted to Excedrin that no generic will ever do, unless you have no choice! I'm here to tell you that it did help me, they are still a good 6 mos. plus from getting this problem resolved with Excedrin which seems absurd but until then I will use the generic and then I will probably go back to the brand name because I, like most migraine sufferers, stick with what works! Hope this helps, you really aren't left with much choice. IMO, Excedrin works better than Fioricet, all prescriptions put together! Good Luck =). Gilit

Vons Grocery Stores have their brand of "Excedrin Migraine" and it works just fine. Also, today in Costco they now have their own brand of Excedrin Extra Strength at $8 something a bottle for 500. Thats the best ever and they also work just as well as Excedrin - and I have been taking Excedrin for over 20 years.
