and tell me what magic potion was used, what incantation was howled, and how the h@ll you quit smoking. All tips, suggestions, or advice are welcome. It is the one monkey (well, caffeine, too) that I cannot seem to shake off my stinky little back.
Thanks in advance

Well, I can tell you one thing, my friend. If money can be a motivating factor, start a piggy bank and add all the money you'd spend on cigs in a day. DON'T look in there for at least one full year. No matter what. I'll bet you have enough $ saved to fly to Chicago for a shopping spree down the Magnificent Mile! I would go with you. First stop, FAO Schwartz toy store. They have the coolest stuff.

Seriously, Jim quit after his last cervical surgery. It was his third. His throat was just too damn sore. He still has a few cravings after a meal and with his morning Joe. But he stuck it out and it's been 9 months now. He did gain some weight but he's working that off too. It's will power above everything else. As with most vices we humans suffer from. Have you tried the patch? Nicorette gum? I heard hypnosis can work too. There's even a few of them that guarantee success. The problem is lots of us smoke due to stress, but everything can be stressful at times. I just don't have an answer. Sorry! If I did, I'd be a millionaire!
Good luck on finding something that works.

I used Chantix and it was so much easier than I imagined! I only stayed on it 3 weeks... and did just fine.
It's been two months. If I quit, anyone can! 35 years and 3 packs a day. Pretty horrible huh?
I can breath now!! And..I don't stink anymore. :)

I have quit smoking twice the first time was for six years and now this time for almost 5 months both times I used the nicotine patch and stayed away from nightclubs or any other activities I associated with smoking. I gave myself a few weeks to devote my attention solely to my inner strength to quit I didn't worry at that time about diets or exercise or anything else just staying smoke free and so far so good. Best of luck to you!

Hi
I my experience the only product that works is nicorette gum 4mg. It worked like a charm for me. Patches or commits did nothing. Good luck

What worked for me was the nicorette gum, 4mgs. The patches and committs did nothing. I never expected it to work but it just did. You actually have no desire for a smoke. The nicotine being released really takes the edge of your cravings. Give it a try, good luck
