Regarding pain management... the methadone won't cancel out the oxycodone... is your pain from a recent accident or chronic, that is post six months of this pain? Acceptable treatment is when your pain management is managed satisfactorily! There are too too many variables including body weight, chronic vs. acute pain, sensitivity of the person to narcotics, etc. to indicate whether 30 mg of percocet and 10 mg of methadone are adequate to manage your pain. Based on your post it doesn't sound like it. The fact that your doctor is using methadone concerns me..as this med is in fact a lousy narcotic, and, as you know is used for addiction treatment. Ironic, they help heroin addicts by giving them another lesser narcotic... just not as dangerous. Well hope you are getting back to your physician, or a pain management center..that gets it...
