Acute Pain
For acute pain relief, the recommended dose is 200 mg to 400 mg, taken every six to eight hours. The maximum recommended daily dose of etodolac is 1000 mg.

Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis
When treating osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis symptoms, the recommended etodolac dose may be one of the following: Etodolac 300 mg, taken two or three times a day; Etodolac 400 mg, taken two times a day; Etodolac 500 mg, taken two times a day.

As with acute pain, the maximum recommended daily dose of etodolac is 1000 mg.
