Esomeprazole - should I stop taking this, I am no better?

You should certainly speak to your doctor about this, as there are several other drugs you can take which have the same effect, i.e omeprazole, lansoprazole. Are you taking any other medications that could be causing adverse reactions when taken with the esomeprazole?

Have you ever thought about seeing a naturopathic doctor? I used to work for one and he would do this test that would follow how your body digests and from there could add certain enzymes and supplements to the diet and help people a lot. As RN's, we dont always think of this route but I was really amazed at the difference seeing a naturopath can make! It is expensive since most are not covered by insurance but I think it would be worth it if you have exhausted the western medical routes.
