Just opened it up looking for how it worked and yikes it fired.
Does the manufacture give any credits?

If you have health insurance that is helping you to pay for the pen then you may be able to work out with them another refill If you are paying out of pocket, I doubt you will get one to replace this one without paying for it. You might try asking the manufacturer though. It never hurts to try.
