I am using the 50mg prefilled syringe once weekly. What can be done about the burning? Does icing the site prior to injection help?
Does anyone have burning sensation while Enbrel medication is being injected?

Try to administer the medicine really slowly, that may reduce the burning sensation.
Bruising or swelling (burning is probably part of it) is a side effect of Enbrel injections, if it is really bothersome please see your doctor.

I also have the burning during the injection process but it only last 15 seconds or so. I can put up with the burning for the pain relief. I asked the Enbrel RNs and was told to leave the pen out for 30 minutes before use. Hope this helps
