I have been on enbrel for about 8 years, in the last year or so I notice that the balls of my feet are hurting again, and that I feel I am more stiff in some ways, mostly I have terrible aches in my calves and my achilles are tight adn my thighs hurt. It injected last night and it seems like it got worse to soem degree. Dr says maybe I shoudl try hurmia or remicade, both frighten me not sure why. Can enbrel cause muslce aches and tendion tightness? Would like to hear form people who have switched after being off enbrel.
I have RA but no visiable signs I have erosins in my feet and other areas are stiff and ache.

I have taken Humira for 3 years and LOVE it. Just inject myself every two weeks. For me it works great!
I was wondering maybe you need a muscle relaxant. I take Soma for my fibromyalgia that works wonders. I'm a mess anyway LOL.
I have RA, OA, FIBRO, Migraines, scoliosis, degenerative disc disease, bulging disc, all kinds of fun things!
You might want to also try Voltaren gel 1% It is an external NSAID you rub on painful areas. Perfectly safe and easy to use. I rub it on my hands and knees and sometimes on my back. My husband was so sold on it, he asked the orthopaedic doctor for a prescription. It is awesome stuff to take pain away.

Funny you should ask, I ALSO have been on Enbrel (successfully treating PA since 2006), and just since March of this year (2011) have had various muscle symptoms which my PCP, Rheumatologist, and orthopedist all deny responsibility for. I came across your post because I also am questioning whether I want to change therapies. My muscle pain is significant (backs of thighs, and right arm..which is my most used arm) and I seem to feel a certain 'weakness', as if my muscles are working a LOT HARDER than they used to. I am a regular (daily..2 miles) runner, and cannot do the whole run anymore. I have a LOT of stiffness, like sciatica..also bothersome. Sorry to not have the answer for you now, but I am looking and will post in the future if I find the answer. Likewise, I hope.

Does the Humira sting as bad as they say/ I am suppose to choose between remicade or Humira but I have heard it stings so bad was wondering how you do on it?
I currently use Humira after using Embrel for about a year. I also have neurophy in both feet and have tendinitis in both feet through my legs. If you find out what causes this let me know and YES we are all messes on this site but that is what makes us STRONG.
