Neomycin may cause permanent hearing loss, nerve damage, and severe kidney damage. Hearing loss can occur even after the drug is stopped. If you already have kidney problems or hearing difficulty, tell your doctor. Notify your doctor immediately if any of the following occur: ringing in your ears, hearing loss, unusual tingling, muscle twitching, seizures. Neomycin may be stopped if you develop kidney or hearing problems. Your doctor will monitor your progress to minimize the possibility of these effects occurring and may run certain tests (eg, hearing and/or kidney tests). Do not use Neomycin with other medicines that can cause nerve, kidney, or hearing problems. Other factors that increase the risk of these side effects occurring include advanced age or dehydration (unusual thirst).

# Polymyxin B Sulfate may cause drowsiness or dizziness. These effects may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Polymyxin B Sulfate with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it.
# Polymyxin B Sulfate only works against bacteria; it does not treat viral infections (eg, the common cold).
# Be sure to use Polymyxin B Sulfate for the full course of treatment. If you do not, the medicine may not clear up your infection completely. The bacteria could also become less sensitive to this or other medicines. This could make the infection harder to treat in the future.
# Long-term or repeated use of Polymyxin B Sulfate may cause a second infection. Tell your doctor if signs of a second infection occur. Your medicine may need to be changed to treat this.

I would consult with the doctor asap. There were other forms of this medication. Is this the right one? Good luck and hope the infection clears up soon.

and be sure that this wasn't used in a previous problem with this particular problem it might prove ineffective, Just want you to be using a currently prescribed drug or one that the physican is aware of, I did develop some hearing loss with this class of drugs, this doesn't happen to everyone so just use as directed and be safe.
