Dapsone is excreted in breast milk in substantial amounts. Hemolytic reactions can occur in neonates. Because of the potential for tumorgenicity shown for Dapsone in animal studies a decision should be made whether to discontinue nursing or discontinue the drug taking into account the importance of drug to the mother.
Clofazimine is excreted in the milk of nursing mothers.Clofazimine should not be administered to a nursing woman unless clearly indicated.
Because of the potential for tumorigenicity shown for rifampin in animal studies, a decision should be made whether to discontinue nursing or discontinue the drug, taking into account the importance of the drug to the mother.
Please do talk to a doc before you nurse on being on the above meds, take care, best wishes!
