i am being tapered off of morphine my doctor said the norco i am taking should keep me from withdrawal. can i take ibuprofen and fioricet for my headaches

will the nor co prevent withdrawal and if so how much should i take i was told to take one tablet of morphine a day for a week and then stop.if ibuprofen is okay to take should that replace nor co. i really didn't think i should take fioricet. thanks for your help
norco's are opiates too so you should avoid them as well... Hang in there, you can do it... Dave
so pretty much you are telling me to stop all opiates and nor co wont stop me from having withdrawal the doctor plans on discontinuibg the norco after i am done with the morphine. didn;t make sense to me
If you slowly taper off the morphine you won't have full blown withdrawal, but your body is use to receiving a certain amount of mg's, you're not going to feel great while tapering as long as you don't drop too much too fast, and plan on feeling - not so hot - until you stabilize on the new dose, it'll take a few days, just ride it out. For nausea, Pepto helps or you can ask for some Phenergan, nausea isn't real common with w/d, but diarrhea certainly is!
