Is there a "half life" for the drug Aricept? and if so, how much?
Drug life of Aricept?
Added 19 Aug 2009:
My mother has been taking Aricept 10mg; for the past month, she has become paranoid; thinking relatives and others are trying to kill her and has been having nightmares. Along with the dementia forgetfulness she is very tired; very cranky and seems as if she is two different people. Her doc reduced Aricept to 5mg. I would like to d/c Aricept altogether.

I'm assuming you mean elimination half life.
The elimination half life of Aricept (donepezil) is about 70 hours. There's more information about it's pharmacokinetics in the link below. Hope this is helpful.
