Hey tramed out,

Just wanted to encourage you to hang in there. Tramadol affects certain chemicals in the brain that in turn affect mood. Now that you are off the med, your body is having to adjust to less of these chemicals. It is going to take a few more weeks, but you should gradually feel better. If not, you may want to consider a low dose of antidepressant until you are fully recovered.

As Laurie said, Tramadol affects certain chemicals in the brain, serotonin, norepinephrine, and endorphins as well.
You may need an SNRI type antidepressant to help you over the hump. IF these feelings continue. But you may be feeling better quite soon! Give it some time.
You may want to google Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome, read up on that, knowledge is power!! PAWS, however is NOT a life sentence, it passes. Keep that in mind whilst reading about it, please.
If you are perspiring like Secretariat at the Kentucky Derby, please change your shirts often. If you are having horrid body aches, take hot baths with epsom salt. For those freaky hot and cold flashes, use an ice pack and a hot pad. If you are having any other withdrawal symptoms that you need help with, please let us know, we can help you!!
