I woke my girlfriend up to take her last pill but she never swallowed the pill and slept with it in her mouth. Now she gas a green spot on her tongue where the pill laid at all nite . She was told it is a medical burn is there anythng we can do to speed the healing process or anything to make this go away faster?

the medicine was actually called "doxycycline" and she didnt swallow it she slept with it under her tongue all night and it caused a sore under her tongue... the sore is green like the color of the pill we called poison controll and they said maybe its a medical burn from that medicine laying there all night its a very srong antibiotic... so this mouth rinse is called "biotene"? and do you think it will be over the counter? we dont have health insurance to see a dr but if the symptoms worsen i guess we will go... but i will try this mouth rince... have you ever heard of this happening before to anyone?
Not the same thing that happened to your girlfriend, but mouth sores are common, they are considered canker sores, not cold sores. Yes, it is over the counter, it is about $6 or $7 at the most at a mass retail store, she might try it, it does help heal mouth irritations, have used it many times myself for sores in my mouth caused by gastro acid eating into my mouth at night.
the biotene mouth wash worked wonders! thank you soooo much... within i day of using the greeness went away and now its just a sore trying to heal... thank you again
Yay, I am so glad, it has always worked for me. I have a few mouth irritations due to gerd and wearing braces and it worked like a charm. Glad she is better.
