Hey mitzic,
I'm not sure what it might be but I doubt that it is from the doxycycline antibiotic. Does he do any repetitive motion type things with his arm? Could be a case of tendonitis. If it does not go away in a week or so have the doctor check it out.
Best wishes,
Laurie

Does he have any signs that the Lyme Disease may still be active? Lyme disease is noted for causing joint pain. The only way to know for sure is to get a lab test specifically for the Lyme antibodies to see if they are active or not. There are many different opinions as to the correct treatment and duration of treatment for Lyme disease. The best indicator is whether the person still has symptoms. Elbow pain can be caused by many different things, so don't focus on the Lyme disease, rather treat the symptoms (unless it's from a repetitive motion - then you need to figure out how to change that motion!). Hope you both can find the way to relieving the elbow pain.
