Side effects can diminish with time as the body adjusts - but not always.
Side effects can also get worse.
There are some side effects of haloperidol that will warrant discontinuation of treatment - including the possibility of developing a movement disorder (tardive dyskinesia) that may or may not be reversible.
It is difficult to predict what will happen.
Talk with your doctor if you are concerned about the side effects of haloperidol.
