No, Zestril (lisinopril) does not have a diuretic effect.
Zestril is in a group of drugs called ACE inhibitors. ACE stands for angiotensin converting enzyme. t works by relaxing blood vessels. This helps to lower blood pressure.

zestril does not have a diuretic effect on me. i have taken it now for almost a year. as a matter of fact my dr. just prescribed me a diuretic to help lower my pressure a little more. as you my know drugs can effect people differently. but zestril is whats called ace inhibitor.
