No,, Tramadol is not a opiate. As long as you show the people testing you that you have a prescription for Ultram then there won't be a problem anyway.
I'm surprised that a doctor is ordering this for you as it causes seizures at high doses. Even though it is not a opiate it will still be blocked by the methadone so really, you're wasting your time taking and also putting yourself at a high risk for a seizure which believe me is no fun..Good luck and be careful...
