Ask your vet to write a prescription for Tramadol (in your dogs name) and bring it to a regular pharmacy to be filled. My cat was prescribed Tramadol and I know how it expensive it can be when filled at the animal hospital. As long as the medication is the same as a human would receive, most vets will comply and write a prescription that you can take to your local pharmacy. The difference in cost is amazing. Talk to your vet and then check the prices at several different pharmacies.
