I have been taking 50 mg Metoprolol for my blood pressure and fast heart beats, and it has been causing diarrhea 5-6 times a day for the past two months, since my ischemic bowel surgery.
I have been complaining to the doctor, but he did not believe the diarrhea was caused by the drug.
He is prescribing Tenormin to replace Metoprolol. But I just read that Tenormin has side effect of diarrhea.
Am I going through the same problem again?
Does Tenormin cause diarrhea?

Hi,
Yes it does common side effect (occurring in 2 to 4 % of people).-
You will not know until you try it, yes it is a common side effect but, maybe this time your organism might react in a different way, different medication.-
If it happens again, again, drink plenty of fluids to hydrate yourself, and contact your doctor if it does not improve.-
I hope this new medication does not cause this unpleasent side effect, these are my most sincere wishes.-
