Started it 5 days ago,and have had none since. I've had flashes and night sweats every night for the past 7 months.

ABSOLUTELY! Yes, Plaquenil can help with hot flashes. I too had night sweats and hot flashes. They were horrible. I'd get up to change my shirt at least once in the middle of the night because it was soaked with sweat. It was awful and disgusting. After starting Plaquenil they went away. I mentioned it to my Rheumatologist and said that I thought it was just a coincidence. He said it was not a coincidence at all. The medicine was working. I don't understand what night sweats have to do with my autoimmune disease but the night sweats are gone and my autoimmune disease is much better controlled since starting Plaquenil.
